I enrolled on the CQF because I wanted more background on the maths behind derivatives pricing. I was starting to get involved in this area with my first job in the banking sector and absolutely needed the knowledge. I started looking for quant courses and the CQF came on top on the basis of recommendation from colleagues.

I recently changed jobs and I found that the CQF definitely raised interest in my CV. It helped me get a job more in the direction that I wanted.

In the beginning I struggled with the maths. For that purpose the maths primer, at the beginning of the CQF, is definitely a must to catch up on all your maths skills.

The CQF is known because of Paul Wilmott; he is recognized as one of the great minds in quant finance and has published many books on the subject. He also shows a healthy dose of skepticism towards complex quant models and tries to teach the dangers of using them in practice.

In the CQF there are delegates from all sorts of backgrounds, some already in quant finance, and some like me who had studied mathematics some time ago and had not reviewed much since. In the beginning I struggled with the maths. For that purpose the maths primer, at the beginning of the CQF, is definitely a must to catch up on all your maths skills.

I really enjoyed the CQF for the challenge it put me through. I tend to enjoy complexity and I like mathematics applied to real world problems, which is really what the CQF is about.
