Having studied pure mathematics at university, I wanted to bridge the gap between theory to practical application and CQF allowed me to do this. The CQF gave me the understanding of different asset classes and more complicated theory in finance, such as risk neutral pricing. I learned about the core mathematical techniques which are used in finance such as solving partial differential equations, working with stochastic differential equations and pricing using different methods such as Monte Carlo or finite difference methods. 

The lecturers were experts in their fields and good teachers who explained the concepts clearly. If I wanted to discuss a subject further or seek clarification, I was able to ask questions anytime and they always had answers. I found the assignments very helpful for my learning and the final project allowed me to specialise further. 

As well as the knowledge I have gained, the CQF has given me the opportunity to build a better network and work together with people from different jobs and backgrounds. Going forward I hope to benefit from this and continue learning through the library of resources available.
